Ramzi's life in Bulgaria ...

Ramzi (B'Tesem Ramisi Tal Sannat) moved to his "new home" on June 2006, to Desi Jordanova, knl 'Egipt's Temptation'. All time I was from Desi assured (by e-mails, SMSs) that he lives with her, as her beloved home darling, etc. ...

   On the Friday 12.01.2007, I received an e-mail from (at the time unknown person to me) Svetla. The owner of a dog hotel in Sofia. First I thought "it is a joke no" ? And I read it two, maybe three times ... than I started be in shock ... only what I was able to do at the moment, was crying ...

Dear Mrs. Kazmercikova and Mrs. Hudakova,
I am writing you on a very unpleasant occasion, but I have been putting it aside long enough, now it is time to make decisions.
My name is Svetla Obretenova. I live in Sofia and own a private dog-hotel. The dogs are being kept at home, not in cages or kennels, sleep in my bed and watch TV, laying on the couch with me.
Since his arrival to Bulgaria in June ’06, I have had the pleasure to look after one of your lovely dogs - B'Tesem Ramisis Tal Sannat. Put aside the short interruptions for a few dayse, when he was taken away for shows by his owner – Dessy, Ramzy has been growing in my home.
Ramzy is in contact with many dogs, he is very good-tempered and playful, he even lives with cats and has no problems with them. He is generally healthy and has a wonderful temperament. There are a few small problems – he usually takes change of food badly and some diarrhea occurs, but that is fast to heel. Of course, he still is a pharaoh – misbehaves a bit in his own way. But the general problem is that he is not an only dog – I take care of a constantly growing, changing dog-pack and I can not give him the attention he would have if he were “an only child”. Definitely, a doggy-hotel, no matter how it is run is no place for a 6-month-old dog to grow. He needs constant attention, control and education, which here, with me, he has to share with all the other animals I take care of. For example - he doesn’t know how to walk on a leash, because he is running freely in the yard. I’ve taken him out a few times, he is eager to pull, but is fast to relax. In general he is very smart, a little stubborn, but easy to train.
And now to the point – since November ’06 - I have had absolutely NO CONTACT with his owner – Dessy. For reasons that are unknown to me she hangs up every time I try to call her. After I had threatened her a few times that I would sell Ramzy (by SMS, as that was the only way to get through to her), she made a promise that she would come to pick him up. As you can see, she hasn’t done so. She keeps making up the most unbelievable lies – the last one was that her dog Vita had a tumor and was hospitalized the evening she was going to take Ramzy… The fact is she isn’t coming to get him. And that has been an issue for 2 months now!
As this story was developing people started to contact me – telling me I was not the only one deceived by Dessy’s incorrect behavior. Sadly, it seems that this is no a once-in-a-life-time bad experience for her. It turned out that no-one knew that Ramzy lives in a hotel, and the few who did know were led to believe I had kept him in co-ownership. As a whole people of the Bulgarian dog-world (and it is small enough for most of us to know each-other) were shocked, when I brought the facts before them (I did that in the most-visited cinology web-forum) – everybody was receiving very different information from Dessy.
In any case, by reasons that are not known to me it turns out she can not take care of this dog. I don’t understand why she took him in the first place, but perhaps she had her own plans that weren’t achieved… Whatever the reasons are, it is obvious she is unable to cope with the situation.
When me and my family were on holiday this September, Ramzy stayed with Dessy – 20 days. And that is the longest he has been with his “owner”. Then I informed her he had a skin problem – some dandruff occurred, and I told her she should consult a vet. That wasn’t done either.
During my investigation – as it took me quite some time to figure-out what’s happening, I found out there were a few people interested to have Ramzy in co-operation, but Dessy had refused.
These are the reasons I have decided to start looking for a new home for Ramzy. He has lived half a year in a dog-hotel, he definitely needs his own family. And since I haven’t been paid for quite the time of his stay with us – I would like to receive what I am owed. That is 700 Bulgarian leva, or 350 Euro.
I have given it a lot of thought and decided contacting you first would be the right thing to do – the dog is of your making, your work has been put into him and perhaps you are not indifferent to his faith. I could give Ramzy to someone as a pet for the money Dessy owes me, but I know the dog is of very high quality and it would be a waist. You know of his achievements and that he is making the first steps of a very good show-career…
This is why I am writing. I am hoping you would want him back with you since he is not wanted here. I truly hope you would help me with the solving of this problem.

 All the time when he was in Bugaria, I "lived" at certitude, that Ramsi lives at a loving home, mainly like a "loved home darling", as always Desi wrote me at each her message. But this all was only "my dreams" and Desi's lies.
One of reasons why I gave Ramsi to BG to Desi was, that I thought she is really a dog lover, and Ramsi will has a wonderful and active life with her, even if I had inquires for Ramsi (btw who wanted pay him "on hand"), I decided for Desi. I met her here in Czech republic, when she was on the special PHs show with Vita. In day time, she was a guest at my home, and I really thought this girl can give Ramsi a wonderful life - What is for me as for a breeder the most important thing. Dog shows are on place somewhere 'on the end' to me. Shows are only such joy, such "plus" for owners who have a "show quality dog" - at least this is my opinion.

From Desi, I time to time received Rams' pics, and messages (e-mails, SMSs) in style - "Ramsi is my darling, I love him so much, he is running with my Vita in park every day, he sleeps in my bed", etc etc etc. Very nice messages from which each breeder can be only happy. Now I only think, as Desi knows "what life with dogs is about" so she probably knows "what breeder wants to hear" ...

As time went, I started ask Desi to pay his price. She got him only "on good word, and her promises", our agreement was: pay his full price in next week when he arrived to Bulgaria. It means Desi promised pay him in week 19.- 25.06.2006, this never happened. Desi still promised - "yes I will send you money, in next week no problem for me" - this she promised a several times.
To today's time I did not saw a "crown" from her. What is more, I had expenses with Ramsi's transport to BG, even this Desi owes me. I still told for myself: "Desi is my friend, something like my sister, she loves her dogs, they means so much to her, I will await with her payment, she sure spend all money to Ramsi and her another dogs - Vita and Mark, she will send me when she has". This never happened. My latest asking about the monies was around chistmas 2006. She promised send at least 500 Euro - Never happened.
And our contract is clear, Desi must pay or Ramsi is still my dog. Of course original Rams' pedigree is still with me, as I am still his valid owner. She wanted Ram's pedigree, in the day when she took him, thanks God, at least in this point I did stay distrustful (probably God from sky sent on my head some "ray of light"), I told her "no, first you must pay him", than you will get his pedigree".

What I do not understand, why Desi wanted Ramsi ? Why she took him ? When she for sure knew, that she is not able give him home. Svetla told, that Ramsi was at her hotel from FIRST DAY when he arrived to Bulgaria ... UNBELIEVABLE !!! ... Even Svetla told me, that Desi did not leave Rams' things with him !!! - I gave with Ramsi "puppy pack" - his cover, leash, collars (one classical, and one "on body" - I do not know the word for it), toys, "dog chewing gums", etc.
As Desi could did that to Ramsi ???? This I never will forgive her. NEVER ! As she could so lie me ? such lies she even sent in e-mails to another owner of Ramis' brother - it was something like "here is cold, so Ramsi is in my bed with Vita", even this Ram's brother owner, can not believe Desi's behaviour. For many people is Desi's behaviour absolute shock !!!

The more I think why Desi wanted Ramsi, the more I am confident, that by this, she found a very easy way, as mate Vita. Hmm, very clever girl, isn't she ? She got a quality dog only on her "promise" to pay him, but this not happened, so why not "use" this situation many more, no ??? Dog "for free", mate "for free" ... hmmmm really very clever girl. Even this confirmed me Svetla, when she told, Desi told her, that she really wants use Ramsi for Vita, even if he is such a young dog ... BTW, Pharaohs are "matured" when they are about 2 - 2.5 years old. Usually to this age they are not able reproduction.
Only what I wonder just now - what she planned to do with Rams after mate ??? Maybe than she planned really return him to me ... ?
I do not know what to think about Desi ...

All time I really trusted her, I believed Ramsi is all time in HER LOVING HANDS !!! But all time he was in a dog hotel.

For me was the most important - give Ramsi to really wonderful home, loving home and hands, this all Desi promised, but she only lied. All time she only lied me, and all time was my beloved puppy - Ramsi - at a dog hotel. Even if I now know, Svetla gave to Ramsi all what she could - her care, her love, her time, he grew up at her hotel - so fact stays, Rams was "only one from many".

I met Desi and Ramsi at Dog world show again, I can not believe, that she was able normal speak with me, normal look to my eyes, if she knew, that Rams all time lives in a dog hotel. Like a "not wanted, not loved, homeless" dog.
Only pity, I did not knew about this all, if I knew it, so I took Ramsi from Poland back to my home. All time when he was on the world dog show, he was in absolute SMALL box, in which he could only be in lying pose. He was a bit shy, even to Desi (this surprised me, but I thought he was nervous from all the long trip from BG, plus so many dogs, people, ets). When Desi left him with me in the box (she went somewhere to another hall), I took him out from the box, but he was stressed, so I gave him back :-(. Oh my beloved Ramsi ... I am so sorry, that I was not able give you to a true home :-( I am so very sorry ...

Rams meant what to Desi ? WHAT a TOY ? or what ??? "A thing" which she took only to dog show ????
As Desi could did this to live dog, to puppy, who needed her love ???

I loved Desi very much, I had really a nice time when she was here in my house, in my country, this was also one "matter" why I decided for her as "mom" for Ramsi.
But as I can see, she absolutelly "duped" me.

I tried call her, to let her explain me this situation. She clicked on "not take this call" button, and than she wrote me SMS, that she is sorry, that she did not wrote me so long time, that she has big problems, and that another day will write me an long email. A tried also send her SMS and a few e-mails.
Again nothing happened. No message from her, nothing.

Well, with great happy feeling in my heart I can to say to all of you, that Ramsi is keept safe with me again, here in the Czech.
From now, he will again know that he is in A TRUE HOME !

By this way I would like to THANKS to everybody who helped me in this case.

The biggest thanks I send to Svetla, WHO told me about this all, and for a fact, she gave Ramsi a nice "childhood", that she gave him her care.

I do not know what to "tell" Desi ... AS YOU COULD DID THIS ??????????????????
I am so sad from your behaviour ... I never will forgive you, no because of me, I am a human, I can defend myself, BUT because of Ramsi, you shall to be a "mom" for him instead of me, and what you did ? you gave him away, like a "mess" ...
Sad to say, this all you will "get" back Desi.
Of course about this case I will inform PH breeders around the world.
I think you will not anymore find a serious/quality breeder who will give/sell you a puppy again.
I hope you will so fair, and will pay Svetla your debt - 350 EUR.

I still think that I am in a "bad" dream...
But what is the most important thing now, Ramsi is again with me, in a really loving home, with HIS OWN true family.
